Jana is doing great just continuing to prep for our little guy to arrive. The latest news is that we've picked out a name... Carson James Hoffman. We're thinking we'll call him CJ for short... we're not sure if that'll stick, but we like it.
Jana is now over 34 weeks along. A guy's wife (he works at Coke) was due near the same time as Jana and just had a premature baby last week @ 4lbs... reminding me that Jana could go into labor any day now!
We do have our nursery furniture pretty much complete and thanks in large part to several great friends and family... we seem to have most everything we need.
I'm still in summer school now, although my last class is July 28th. I don't start the fall until Aug 18th... so hopefully Jana and Carson will be kind enough to work things out during my break between classes! I just figure if I'm going to lose sleep it'd be best if I don't have to be in class in the evenings. However, something tells me that I don't have much say in any of this.
Jana's still working out her job stuff and intends to stop working at the end of July and maybe not go back to work until the beginning of 2009. We're still working out those details.
All things considered, Jana's been feeling pretty well. A good night's sleep is hard for her to come by now. I know she wishes some of the swelling would go away (especially in her feet). The only pain she's dealt with lately has been what she thinks is a pinched nerve above her belly. She describes it as a burning sensation, but we're hoping it's a normal discomfort that just means Carson's development is progressing.
Oh yeah, Carson did go to his very first baseball game Saturday (7/5) to see the Braves play the Astros. We're pretty sure he won't remember the game... but of course I like being at the ballpark with my family!
