Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving 2009 was spent in Orlando, FL. We left Atlanta on Wednesday morning at 6:30a hoping to beat some of the holiday traffic. Unfortunately, Carson wasn't very happy with the long car ride, so he made it a little challenging at times.

We camped at Ft. Wilderness in tents that Bob and Peggy provided for us. The Freemans and Hesters were there also, in addition to some extended family and friends. Unfortunately, it was a little cold at night, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the Disney parks during the day. Thanks to Joy's military connection, she helped us get discounted park passes, so we spent each day in the parks. Carson especially like the spectacular Christmas light show at Hollywood Studios. Come to think of it, Carson loved just about everything about Disney. His first trip to Disney was a huge success.

Travelling with a 1 yr old was a little challenging, but the helping hands of family and friends made it so much easier. On the way home we drove a little more at night and he slept the whole way... now that's the way to travel.
