Easter Egg Hunt

Carson attended his first Easter Egg Hunt at a local park this past weekend. It was a chilly morning, but Carson and I forged ahead. The egg hunt was supposed to be for children 3 year old and younger, but either the parents disregarded the age limit rule or there are some gigantic 3 year olds out there! It took a few minutes for Carson to understand the concept of the Easter Egg hunt and at first he was perfectly content with gathering flowers and pieces of grass in his bucket. In the end, he collected 3 pieces of Laffy Taffy and 1/2 of a plastic egg--I am so proud! The park was also hosting a small carnival on Saturday so we stuck around after the Easter Egg hunt to visit the portable petting zoo, complete with sheep, goats, ponies, and a camel (random, right?). I also discovered that Carson is terrified of clowns (but what little kid isn't?). All in all a fun morning. After an afternoon snooze, we were off again to the 1st birthday party of Carson's friend, John. Carson is keeping a very busy social calender these days and he is nice enough to allow us to tag along.
