Carson decided to let daddy just "chill out" on Father's day this year. After church we stopped at Firehouse Subs for lunch. Carson received an authentic plastic fireman's hat. We then all enjoyed an afternoon nap and a late afternoon swim (on a very hot day). This past weekend we traveled down to the Rock Ranch with our friends Derek and Jodie and their little girl, Lucy. This is our second time down at the Rock Ranch and the corn box was a big hit again. Carson was also old enough to take his first (assisted) pony ride. The evening ended with a fabulous fireworks show. And as long as Carson sat nestled safely between me and Charles, he thoroughly enjoyed the show. If you ask Carson what fireworks sound like, he responds with a very enthusiastic "A-boom" (as opposed to kaboom).
