Time Flies... Week 39 already

Over the last couple of weeks Jana has done great to prep for Carson's birth. We've done our best to finish doing the things we needed to do for Carson. We got the nursery all done... complete with pictures hung and his name on the wall. At the doctor's on Tuesday (8/5), Jana was told she's doing perfect but hasn't really started dialating much yet.

But here we are on Thursday (8/7), and sure enough... Jana's water broke! This morning (about 4am) her water broke, but wasn't feeling any contractions. So from about 4-7am we got stuff together around the house, installed the car seat, and tried to prepare for the big day ahead. So when the doctor's opened at 8am we got in touch with them and headed over to the offices. They confirmed what we thought and sent us across the street to the hospital where Jana was quickly admitted and immediately received some medication to help speed up the contractions... everything worked great. By early afternoon, Jana was in immense pain and went ahead with the epideral. It all went well, but for some reason only provided relief on 1 side of her body. But after about an hour and a few adjustments to the epideral, the medication took over and successfully eased her pain all over. By about 3pm she was much happier!!! They say she's dialated now a little over 5cm... so Carson is on his way!
