Fussy Baby

OK, so don't hear me wrong... Carson is a wonderfully, beautifully, and perfectly made baby... but he sure does cry a lot. It's so tough for new parents to know if he's just a fussy baby or if something is bothering him. Jana's been so great to be sensitive to what she eats to ensure he gets the best nourishment possible. But it's so challenging for us to know if he gets belly aches or what. When Carson cries, we do our best to soothe him by swaddling him, putting him in his swing, putting him in his bouncy chair, taking him for a stroller ride, etc. Obviously we want to do whatever it takes to make him happy, but sometimes it just takes us awhile to figure out what he wants.

Our nights have been something like this:
  • 9pm - Jana feeds him
  • 10pm - Bathtime
  • 10:30pm - Storytime
  • 11pm - Bedtime
  • 2am - Jana feeds him
  • 5am - Jana feeds him
  • 8am - Jana feeds him and starts the day
It's not a perfect schedule by any stretch of the imagination, but it's what Carson seems to take the best to. It'll be nice (for Jana especially) when Carson doesn't wake up throughout the night crying for food. That being said, he really is the cutest thing I've ever seen when he's just stretching to wake up from a long nap.
