Milestones

This last week has brought tons of excitement in Carson's ever-changing world. After returning from Florida, he got right into Super Bowl mode. We had about 20 people over Sunday night for Carson's very first Super Bowl Party. We had some great food brought by great friends. We even got to enjoy some HD viewing, which is quite the upgrade from most of my prior football watching. Carson was rooting for the Cardinals, since as a Cleveland Brown's fan he's forced to despise the Steelers. Carson even stayed awake until about 9:30pm before going down for the night.

Monday was another momentous ocassion for Carson and Jana, as Jana officially started back to work. I'm very thankful that Jana was able to be a full-time mom for practically the 1st six months of Carson's life. Jana went back to Walton Reserve doing compliance for 3 days a week. During that time Carson gets to hang out with our new friends and babysitter (Jody) just down the road. So far Jody says he's no trouble at all and she's given us nothing but good reports. Jody's no stranger to a crying baby though... she has a baby girl named Lucy, who's a couple months younger than Carson. All in all, Jana's transition back to the working world has gone pretty smooth. Jana gets ready extra earlier to get Carson out the door on time. It's a little more challenging being a working mom, but only having to go in part-time makes in a little easier.

My Monday and Tuesday nights are filled with class, so I hate not getting to play with Carson much between Sunday and Wednesday. And now that football's over, Carson's not going to know what to do after church. Luckily, spring is right around the corner so we can be sure to play in the yard soon (that is, if I ever get it cleaned up).
