Time Flies when your having fun

I cannot believe it has been 3 months since my last post :( I wish I had a good excuse, but I don't. Well, I will say that our computer crashed a couple of months ago so it did take some time to get a new one up and running. To say that Charles and I are enjoying every minute with Carson is the understatement of the year. He is so much fun and really is such a great kid.
We took Carson to the circus for the first time back in February. His favorite acts were the motorcycles that went "really, really, fast" (Carson's words) in a big cage. He was also a big fan of watching the lions (from afar).

Carson was eager to meet his new cousin Cali. Cali (born to my sister Julee) arrived on March 9th. Carson is pretty sweet with her.

We have been working on potty training and I think he's got the hang of it now. He really likes wearing his Lightening McQueen underwear (and feels the need to be in constant motion when wearing them).

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter with all four grandparents in town. Grandma and Grandpa drove down from Ohio and stayed with us for a week. Carson enjoyed having Grandpa as his early-morning buddy (they are both early risers) and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a few minutes extra sleep :)
Nana and Papa drove up for Easter weekend as well. Carson enjoyed dyeing Easter Eggs with Nana.
All of us (including Julee, Michael, and baby Cali) took a trip to the Atlanta zoo while the grandparents were in town.

A couple of weeks ago, the three of us went to Centennial Olympic Park for Coca-Cola's 125th Birthday Celebration. They had activities for the kids (bubbles were Carson's favorite activity) and also had outdoor concerts. Of course, Carson's favorite part of the day was taking the "train" (MARTA) downtown. We told him that he was responsible for holding his ticket for the train and he was so careful not to lose it all day - he checked his pocket every few minutes to make sure the ticket was still there.

As you can see, we have stayed pretty busy these last few months. But even with all the fun activities we've done, my favorite days are the quiet days spent at home with Carson. We have so much fun playing with trains, making forts, coloring, and playing in the sandbox. I am so thankful for such a kind and loving boy. I know that Carson will be a wonderful big brother when his new sibling arrives in October.
