Already 7 Weeks Old

So at 7 weeks old, I'm happy to report Carson is doing great. He continues to keep a busy schedule and is still getting to know friends and family, as he has regular visitors and house guests. He's excited to spend this week with his Aunt Joy. He's trying to talk Joy into moving to Atlanta, but since he has trouble enunciating I'm not sure Joy understands him fully.

We are happy to report that since Jana has laid off the chocolate, his spitting up has improved. He stills spits up some, but I do believe it's much closer to what you'd think would be normal for a baby. Therefore, in my "expert" opinion... although we'll continue to monitor his spit up and Jana's chocolate intake :-) I deem him to be in pretty good shape.

Some of Carson's favorite activities-to-date (when not eating) include:

• laying on his play mat watching the musical star change colors (he can roll over from his belly to his back, but he's just a one-way roller at this point)
• riding (or perhaps better stated, "sleeping") in his stroller
• watching Baby Einstein (he gets bored after 10 minutes)
• riding (or perhaps better stated, "sleeping") strapped in the Baby Bjorn
• bath time
• swinging

Unfortunately, when he's not sleeping, eating or being entertained, he can often be heard whining. But that's OK... I even think his whimpers are cute. And on the upside, he often wears himself out crying during the day, that he sleeps great! He sleeps from 10:30pm to 3am and then 4am to 7am. Jana's so great at feeding him from like 3-3:30am! Carson and I thank God for Super Mom every night!
