Carson's been doing great for the most part. He's gradually fussing less and seems to be holding more food down. It's very rewarding to hear him coo and see occassional smiles. He's even standing with a little help from his dad... ok a lot of help.
Today Carson had his 2 month checkup with Dr. Dixon and he received a clean bill of health. Dr. Dixon said we can try giving him a little Mylanta to see if it helps with reflux, so that may be next on our list of things to try to combat the spit up with.
We weighed in a 10lbs and 10oz with his diaper on and is 22 inches tall. He seems huge to me, but they tell us he's only in the 25th percentile in all categories. Since 75% of babies born at that time are bigger, we're not sure if that means he'll be small or if he's just a later bloomer. He did great for the doctor again, almost as if he wanted to play. Unfortunately, he didn't like the nurse very much. Maybe that had something to do with the 4 shots she jabbed him with. Actually Carson did great. The shot went in his thigh and he looked around as if to ask, "What are you doing to me?" By the time she stuck him with the 2nd needle, he screamed bloody murder. Carson's little whimpers don't bother me, but as parents, those beat red-face, top of your lung sceams that open the tear ducts really cut through the heart of me and Jana. I think Jana shed a few tears, but I was tough! I don't think Carson believed me when I told him it was for his own good.
I will give the nurse credit though, she got all 4 shots done within about a minute, so she got in and out pretty quick. Carson ended up with 2 shots in each leg, so I'm sure they're pretty sore. He probably won't be able to walk for a few days. :-)

Charles,
Great to hear about the baby. Your mom gave me this blog and I just finally got around to checking it out. How is everything going?
God bless,
Casey
