Happy 5th Anniversary

On Saturday, November 8, 2003, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been 5 years already. It's pretty crazy to think about how much life changes over the course of 5 years. 5 years ago Carson was but an idea faraway, yet it's pretty amazing to think that God had knit him together and authored his life long before we ever imagined him. Life has certainly been filled with surprises... but none greater than Carson in the last 5 years.

Joy flew in from Tampa Saturday, which of course worked out great for us since we needed a babysitter for us to have an evening out. Thanks to Joy, we were able to have a nice dinner at Maggiano's and have a little alone time to reminisce about the past 5 years, think about the next 5 years, and of course simply enjoy the moment alone (which is a rarity anymore). Joy does great with Carson, but like everyone, when he goes into a screaming marathon she gets worn out too.

Carson is doing well, but remains content living an inconsistent life. Some nights he sleeps as much as 6-7 hours, but other nights he gets up every hour for seemingly no reason at all. Joy did advise us that we haven't been giving him the right amount of Zantac, so it's only been the last few days that we've been giving him the full .8ml prescribed. (Jana and I didn't realize how to read the markings on the dropper!)
